General information

The fruit is nutritious and is called as Bitter Apple. The fruit is highly rich in Colocynthin. It is very hot in nature, hence not recommended for people with Pitta Dosha. It is a very potent purgative and should be consumed under medical guidance. It helps in pacifying Kapha and hence beneficial in treating respiratory tract disease. It is diuretic and anti inflammatory in nature. Its antibacterial properties help in treating wounds and skin allergies. It helps in regulating the liver functionality.
