This state of the art technology delivers an a very pure extract that is both full spectrum and extremely concentrated at the same time. It is so pure that you can actually smell the qualities of the original herb in the extract. When you first open a bottle, you will be greeted to the original scent of the herb. It is sweet and powerful. There is simply no other extraction method so effective that you can actually smell the purity ,fragrance and essence of the herb. This is a testimony to the great care that goes into the selection of the herbs and the supercritical extraction process itself. To give you an idea of the potency and concentration of the extract, we can often use as much as 200 to 250 pounds of fresh herb to produce just one pound of supercritical extract All of the herbs are grown on organic farms and selected with the greatest care. The supercritical process produces an extremely broad representation of the herbs' active constituents Often times these are active ingredients that traditional methods of extraction cannot even begin to extract. In addition, the supercritical process does not use any chemical solvents at all. It uses safe and environmentally friendly carbon dioxide. This is the same carbon dioxide that is found in your sparking water. So the end result is absolutely free of any chemical solvents. The supercritical extract is then blended with water soluble extracts or what is referred to as post supercritical extract (PSE). Finally we combine both the supercritical extract and the post supercritical extract with the raw whole herb. Traditional Uses: Mucuna pruriens, commonly known as velvet bean or cow itch, is a plant indigenous to India. Mucuna pruriens, recognized as an aphrodisiac in Ayurveda, has been shown to maintain and normalize testosterone levels, which may lead to deposition of protein in the muscles and increased muscle mass and strength.

Contraindications, Toxicity, Cautions and Safety: Do not use when congested. Adverse effects were mild and were mainly gastro-intestinal in nature. No adverse effects were seen in clinical laboratory reports (lbid, 1995).

Habitat and Botany: M. pruriens is an herbaceous twining annual. The leaves are trifoliate; the leaflets, broadly ovate, ellipticor thomboid ovate and unequal at the base; the flowers, purple and in axillary, pendulous racemes, the pods, curved, longitudinally ribbed, turgid and densely clothed with persistent pale brown or gray, irritant bristles; the seeds, black, 4-6 in a pod and avoid. This Ayurvedic herb is an annual climbing shrub common in the tropics of India; legumes are eaten as a vegetable.

Main Active Constituents: M. prurita has been found to contain L-DOPA, 40 mg/g of the plant. (Parikh et al, Indian Drugs, 1990, 27, 353; Chem Abstr, 1993, 119, 234161, 245571). The plant/seeds contain the bioactive alkaloids mucunine, mucunadine, mucuadinine, pruriendine and nicotine, besides B-sitosterol, glutathione, lecithin, oils, venolic and gallic acids. The seeds with seed coat showed the presence of a number of bioactive substances including tryptamine, alkylamines, steroids, flavonoids, coumarins, cardenolides, etc.
